Out of the twelve, we have chosen our favorite ones.Have a look at them.
1.Mistake number one: you tend to line your entire eye.
According to Tina, we have all been guilty of lining our entire eyes at one point or another. But, if “overlining” is a part of your daily makeup routine, let us take you through some helpful yet interesting facts.
Lining the entire eye area, from bottom to top and around both corners, actually makes the eyes appear smaller. So, if you already have small eyes, it will make them look much smaller than they actually are. Also, if you have big eyes, you, at no point in time would like to make them appear smaller. Instead, you would want to flaunt them in all possible ways. So, overlining your entire eye should be avoided at any cost, irrespective of the size of your eyes. It is something that is never going to make your eyes look flattering! If you have this thought that lining your entire eye will make you look more wide awake and alert, you are indeed wrong. This is a misconception that is being followed since time immemorial. Instead, If you’re going for a wide-eyed look, our host recommends only using liner on the lid of the eye, and as close to the lash line as possible. There should be no gap between the eyeliner and your lash line as that will make your look unpleasant. Lining your upper lashline as close as possible will make you look so much more awake, so go for that look instead.
2.Mistake number two: You stretch up your eye area.
While you might not consider this to be of that much importance, we do!You have no idea how much damage you are doing to your skin by following the wrong makeup practices. You may be contributing to early signs of aging by making this big makeup blunderAnd guess what, you might not even be aware of it! What we are talking about here is Yanking or lifting the eyelids while applying makeup. Doing this not only irritates this delicate region, it can also cause deep wrinkles to form! Moreover, stretching your skin a little too much can cause dryness in that region. So, instead of using your finger to pull the lid, Tina recommends keeping your hands off your face when lining the eyes. Just lift your chin a little bit upward and you should get similar results. This method will keep fine lines from forming and, as a bonus, will help you make fewer mistakes along the way. So, if you can achieve similar and even better results with fewer efforts, why to damage your skin?
3.Mistake number three: You only show love to the bottom line and not the upper one.
As a matter of fact, this is every girl’s go-to technique in high school because, in those days, everyone thinks that the dark line at the bottom of your eye will make you look older. And everyone was indeed right! It does make you look older. So, as you actually grow older, you would want to do away with this makeup technique. Because let’s admit, anyone over the age of 18 doesn’t want to make herself look older! In this tutorial, Tina even mentions that lining the bottom waterline line can make the eyes appear “unbalanced.”So, to get that popping effect while still preserving your natural eye shape, she recommends drawing a tight line on the lid and using a lighter brown shade on the bottom corner. You can even go in with a nude pencil liner on the lower waterline, If you want to widen the look of your eye.
